A message from our CEO

Thursday, 13th February 2020 - We are pleased to announce that in addition to the UK, we have now recovered our customer facing websites in Europe, North America, Middle East & Turkey, Australia & New Zealand. This means that customers can now order travel money cash for store collection or for home delivery.

We are also pleased to announce that we have restored sales and reloads of Travelex Money Card through our websites in UK, US and France, as well as recovering the Travelex Money App in the UK, US and France.

Thursday, 30th January 2020 - We are pleased to announce that we have now recovered our customer facing website in the UK. This means that customers can now order travel money cash for store collection or for home delivery, however we are not able to offer our full range of services and products through the website at this time.

Monday, 27th January 2020 - Travelex resumes its Travelex Wire service. Travelex Wire is now fully operational and the service can be accessed at https://wire.travelex.co.uk/.

Friday, 17th January 2020 - We continue to take positive steps forward. Our first customer-facing systems in the UK are now live. We are therefore serving customers electronically in our UK stores and in some of our UK retail partner locations and expect to begin testing in some Travelex branches outside the UK this week. Customers in UK airports will also be able to access our VAT refund services. This is part of our phased approach to the global restoration of our systems.

Throughout our recovery, our priority is to ensure that our systems are brought back up in a controlled, secure and managed way. In addition, we continue to make progress in testing the systems that support our UK high street banking partners. Travelex is also making good progress on restoring its proprietary UK International Money Transfer Service, which will be available by the end of the month.

We would like to thank our customers for supporting us and confirm we will continue to restore our systems as quickly as possible.

Travelex continues to work towards restoring global functionality as soon as possible, whilst ensuring the integrity and robustness of its network. Staying focused on customers remains at the forefront of Travelex’s priorities as we restore our services around the world and the company continues to communicate with customers about the resumption of services and its recovery strategy.
