  • How do I buy a Cash Passport?

    It’s easy! You can either buy your Cash Passport card online or in a Travelex store.

  • What currencies can I load onto my Cash Passport?

    At this time, you can load euros, British pounds, Australian dollars, Japanese yen, Canadian dollars and Mexican pesos onto your Multi-currency Cash Passport.

  • What advantages does a Chip & PIN card have?

    In the United States, some debit and credit cards only have magnetic stripe technology (the black stripe on the back of any credit or debit card).

    Chip and PIN, which stores data on integrated circuits instead of magnetic stripes for added security, is now accepted at millions of locations abroad. Some international retailers and vending machines cannot accept credit and debit cards without Chip and PIN technology. The Chip and PIN technology in Cash Passport means that it’s accepted in most places abroad and more secure than magnetic stripe cards. 

  • How do I find out my balance?

    Simply go to My Account, register your card and you’ll be able to see your Cash Passport card balance right away, as well as recent transactions. Alternatively, you can call Card Services to obtain your total balance.

  • How do I cash out my card?

    After your trip is over, you can withdraw the remaining balance on your card (fees may apply). You can either:

    • -Take your card to any Travelex location in the US and we’ll withdraw the balance for you, less any applicable fees (see your Terms & Conditions for further details)
    • -Use an ATM that accepts MasterCard (assuming it’s within the ATM’s issuing limits)
    • -Call Card Services to have your balance refunded to a bank account (less any fees)

  • How do I find out my PIN?

    If you've forgotten your PIN, you can use the PIN Reveal option in My Account to get a PIN reminder, or  call Card Services to find out your PIN number.

  • How do I replace a lost or stolen card?

    If your card is lost or stolen, contact Card Services immediately so that your card is cancelled and you can be provided with a free* replacement card (subject to availability). Rest assured that your balance is PIN protected and you can still access those funds with either your replacement or secondary card.

    *This feature is free, but certain other transaction fees and costs, terms, and conditions are associated with the use of this Card.  See the cardholder agreement for more details.

*Travelex does not charge an ATM withdrawal fee. However, some merchants or cash machine operators may charge a fee or set their own transaction limits. Please confirm whether any fees or limits apply before making a withdrawal.

**Card Services can provide emergency cash (up to the available balance on the Card) in as little as 20 minutes via 24/7 emergency assistance service subject to availability, or funds can be transferred to a replacement Card that can be sent within 24 hours up to the available balance on your Card (subject to availability).

1 A Foreign Exchange rate will apply if transferring funds to another currency. The currency exchange rate is selected from the range of rates available in wholesale currency markets (which vary each day), together with a margin of 5.5%.

2 Third-party fees may apply.

3 If you obtain your funds or make a purchase in a currency other than the currencies available on your card, the amount deducted from your funds will be converted by the network or card association that processes the transaction into an amount in the Currencies available on your card in the following order of priority: USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, JPY, MXN. MasterCard currently uses a conversion rate that is either:
(i) selected from the range of rates available in wholesale currency markets (which may vary from the rate the association itself receives), or 
(ii) the government mandated rate in effect for the applicable central processing date. This percentage amount is independent of the additional 5.50% Foreign Exchange Fee that we will charge as compensation for our services. See Section 6 of your terms and conditions for additional information related to transactions in foreign currencies.

4 When you use an ATM, you may be charged an additional fee by the ATM operator or any network used to complete the transaction (and you may be charged a fee for a balance inquiry even if you do not complete a fund transfer).

5 If an ATM displays a balance for your Card Account, the balance displayed may be inaccurate due to the ATM displaying the balance in a currency different than the currencies on your card. This may be due to an exchange rate being applied that is different from ours. An ATM will not display a balance for each Currency. An accurate balance for each currency can be obtained through My Account at www.multicurrencycashpassport.com/travelexus/

6 A monthly inactivity fee will be charged after twelve (12) months of inactivity. See section 3.8 of your terms and conditions for details.
