Why Chip and PIN Cash Passport?
Many European countries accept Chip and PIN cards as the primary form of payment for debit / credit card purchases and ATM use. Many U.S. travelers report difficulty when trying to use their magnetic stripe card or debit cards at merchants and automated machines abroad. Travelex’s new Chip and PIN Card makes transacting easier when traveling in European countries that use chip and PIN as methods of payment. If the country you are visiting does not support this method, the payment terminal will provide you with a receipt to sign.

FAQs
What is the difference between the Chip and PIN Cash Passport and my credit card?
Chip and PIN Cash Passport is an easy-to-use prepaid MasterCard® currency card designed for international travel. As the United States credit card industry continues to use the magnetic stripe technology, international travelers report acceptance issues abroad using their current credit and debit cards. The Chip and PIN technology allows for wider acceptance abroad. Further, your personal information is not on the Cash Passport, reducing the risk of identity theft from theft or loss of the Card.
What fees are associated with the Chip and PIN Cash Passport?
Travelex is proud that Cash Passport is low cost, allowing our customers to use more of their valuable funds during their travels.
