You can sell or buy foreign currency at any Travelex store in India. To find your closest Travelex store, click here.
In addition, you can order pre-order your foreign currency over the phone by calling +91 22 66757777 between 10am – 6pm (Monday to Friday) and 10am to 3pm on Saturday*. There are limits for foreign currency transactions. Please see more details at this bottom of this page.
Purchasing Foreign Currency in India
In order to save time when you are purchasing your foreign currency, all you need to do is follow the steps below:

- Indicate if you would like your currency delivered to you or if you will collect it from your preferred Travelex store. For a list of Travelex stores in India, click here

- Collect your currency / your currency will be delivered to your nominated address.
*Please note:
- You will need to present your original completed form, passport and ticket for travel in order to receive your currency at your nominated store.
- Payment may be made in cash (up to Rs. 50,000/- only) or bank draft before any currency can be released.
- Please note our pre-order service is not available on National Holidays or other holidays as declared by Travelex India. There is a minimum turnaround of 24 hours when pre-ordering currency. Any orders made on a Saturday will be delivered on the following Monday. There are limits set by the Reserve Bank of India in relation to the amount of foreign currency that an individual can carry.
