Brit Travellers Make Australia A Winner – As Summer Sales Of Cash Passports™ Reach Almost Quarter Of A Million

A hundred days since launching four new currencies on its prepaid travel card Cash Passport™, Travelex Outsourcing has recorded massive sales of the cards, with 228,458 sold across its distribution network.

Unsurprisingly, the Euro Cash Passport™ is still first choice for British travellers, accounting for more than half of all Cash Passports™ sold, but Australian dollars are leading sales of the four currency cards recently introduced.

Since its launch in June, almost 10,000 British travellers have purchased a Cash Passport™ pre loaded with Australian dollars. This is closely followed by UK sales of Canadian dollar Cash Passports™.

Numbers for the other new currency cards, New Zealand dollars and South African rand, are lower, but the latter is expected to rise significantly following England’s qualification to the 2010 World Cup.
