Lloyd Dorfman Lloyd Dorfman
Executive Chairman

Lloyd Dorfman is Executive Chairman of the Travelex Group.

Having briefly sampled the bar and investment banking, he started his own currency exchange business in 1976 from one small shop in central London. Following the £440m acquisition of Thomas Cook's Global & Financial Services business in March 2001, the Travelex Group has now become the world's largest non-bank foreign exchange business.

In 2001 Lloyd Dorfman was the winner of the Consumer Business Category in the UK "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards sponsored by Ernst & Young, Citibank and The Times. In 2002 he received the British American Chamber of Commerce's UK Entrepreneurial Award, and the Institute of Economic Affairs' Free Enterprise Award.

He is a Non-Executive Director of M & C Saatchi plc, a Governor of St Paul's School, London, a Patron and Deputy Chairman of The Prince's Trust Development Board, and an Honorary Fellow of St Peters College, Oxford.

Lloyd Dorfman was educated at St Paul's School, and did not go to university. He is married with three children and lives in London.

Christopher Hill Christopher Hill
Chief Financial Officer

Christopher Hill joined Travelex in January 2007 as Group Financial Controller and was appointed Chief Financial Officer for the Group in January 2009.

Prior to this he worked for VWR International, the US-based global laboratory supply company, which he joined in 2005 as Finance Director (UK and Ireland). As head of the finance function for a subsidiary of the Group (a private equity investment owned by Clayton, Dubilier and Rice), Mr Hill was responsible for substantially improving working capital and EBITDA performance over his tenure. Before joining VWR International, he worked at General Electric from 2000 to 2005, leading a number of financial planning, reporting and treasury functions.

Mr Hill is a Chartered Accountant and worked for Arthur Andersen from 1993 to 2000 in audit and treasury consulting. He has an MA in Modern History and is an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

David Sear David Sear
Divisional Managing Director, Travelex Global Business Payments

David Sear is Divisional Managing Director for Travelex Global Business Payments. He has full responsibility for the Division worldwide, which specialises in international and domestic payment and receipt processing services and solutions.

Before moving to his current role, Mr Sear was Divisional Managing Director for the Outsourcing Division during which time his team substantially increased profitability and made Travelex the world-leader in the issuance of pre-paid Currency Cards for consumers and corporates. He joined Travelex in March 2006 from Voca Ltd (previously BACS), where he helped to transform the company at the centre of the UK's payments industry. Prior to Voca, David was Chief Operating Officer at WorldPay Group plc. Mr Sear ran the company's operations as it established its position as a major global player in the adoption and development of e-Commerce. Mr Sear also spent seven years as European Managing Director at Equifax Cheque Services, the world's largest cheque guarantee company, and worked in retail operations for the WH Smith Group for five years.

Anthony Wagerman Anthony Wagerman
Divisional Managing Director, Retail

Anthony Wagerman is Divisional Managing Director Retail. He has full responsibility for Travelex’s global retail foreign exchange network of over 700 shops and his remit includes developing divisional strategy and driving Retail performance.

Prior to this, he was Head of Group Marketing & Communications. He was responsible for corporate communications, media relations, advertising and brand identity as well as Travelex’s sponsorship properties Before joining Travelex, Mr Wagerman held Communications and Marketing posts in a variety of companies, including Heron Corporation and a spell at Arthur D Little Management Consultants.

Anthony has a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry & Business Studies, and an MBA specialising in Marketing.

Julian Rothwell Julian Rothwell
Divisional Managing Director, Outsourcing

Julian Rothwell is Divisional Managing Director Outsourcing. He has full responsibility for the Division globally which provides outsourced foreign currency services and products, including Cash Passport and Currency Select to financial institutions, travel agents and other retailers across the world.

Prior to this role, Mr Rothwell was Finance Director of the Outsourcing Division having joined Travelex in 2005 as Finance Director for the EMEA region. He was instrumental in growing the profitability of the Division and investing in and successfully growing Travelex’s Cash Passport product. Mr Rothwell previously worked for AWG Plc where he was Finance Director of their International Services business, a global Water Utility asset owning and construction business operating in more than 25 countries. Immediately prior to joining Travelex he led the piecemeal disposal of the International Services business. Before joining AWG Plc Mr Rothwell held senior roles at Linde AG and Rolls Royce where he gained significant international exposure.

Mr Rothwell is a Chartered Accountant and worked for Arthur Andersen between 1992 and 1996 in Audit and Corporate Finance. He has a BSc Honours in Management Science from UMIST.

Mark Horgan Mark Horgan
Divisional Managing Director, Card and Mobile Payments

Mark Horgan joined Travelex in October 2009 as Divisional Managing Director for the newly created Card and Mobile Payments division. He has overall responsibility for Travelex’s Card Services operation, which includes the Cash Passport and Currency Select products, and the execution of the Group’s emerging mobile payments strategy.

Mr Horgan has a distinguished background in general management and marketing. He has a reputation for competing in challenging and competitive markets with significant success at driving profitable market share gains. Before joining Travelex, Mr Horgan was European CEO of The Number UK Ltd, a European directory telephone enquiry service, for four years. He led The Number through a significant growth period and brings with him a strong track record of delivery. Prior to The Number, Mr Horgan was an Executive Director on the PLC Board of the MFI Group for six years. He was initially responsible for Customer Strategy and latterly MFI’s retail chain in the UK and France during which time MFI was one of the fastest growing mid-cap retailers in Europe. Mr Horgan has also held various marketing positions in the UK and Europe in the highly competitive confectionery and snacks markets, having worked for Mars, Nestle and United Biscuits.

Mr Horgan has a First Class honours degree in Applied Physics from Strathclyde University. He is President of the Windsor Royals Youths football team. Mr Horgan is passionately committed to supporting development projects for children and has sponsored the London Chamber Orchestra’s movement to take music back into state schools. He has served on the NSPCC Helpline appeals board.

Steve Grigg Steve Grigg
Chief Information Officer

Steve Grigg is Chief Information Officer with responsibility for Travelex’s IT operations, infrastructure and applications that drive the Group’s foreign currency and payment services businesses worldwide.

Prior to joining Travelex in 2008, Mr Grigg was Chief Operating Officer for VocaLink with full responsibility for their entire IT landscape. He led the team that revolutionised the UK payments national infrastructure by delivering a completely new and innovative technology solution for the UK. He then went on to deliver the UK same day ‘faster payments’ service. Both programmes won multiple awards both in the UK and internationally

Before 2003, when Mr Grigg joined Voca, he was Director of Treasury Services at Reuters and President of RTSL (Reuter's broking arm of the transaction business). He spent 16 years with Reuters in a variety of senior technical, project, product and business management roles, building a wide range of skills and extensive expertise in technology strategy and solutions.

Ann Colley Ann Colley
Group Director Human Resources

Ann Colley was appointed to this role in December 2001, combining her previous Communications and Programmes Management responsibilities, with the new challenge of leading the HR agenda.

Mrs Colley joined Thomas Cook in May 1989 as a Project Manager in Information Technology. Following 2 years in IT, she worked as Business Systems Manager within Business Travel and Financial Services, acquiring valuable exposure to change management.

In November 1996 Mrs Colley was appointed Head of Programmes Management, with a remit to develop a centre of excellence for project management within Financial Services. The success of this programme led to an expansion of her responsibilities, and from mid 1998 to end 1999, Mrs Colley, and her team, worked on assignments with a number of business units across Thomas Cook.

Prior to joining Thomas Cook Ann worked for Kleinwort Benson merchant bank in a number of Information Technology roles.

James Birch James Birch
General Counsel

James Birch was appointed General Counsel of Travelex in March 2002. Previous to this he held various roles at Warner Bros., including most latterly as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs & General Counsel for Warner Bros. International Theatres. Prior to this, Mr Birch worked, between 1993 and 1996, in both a legal and business role at Rio Tinto Plc. Mr Birch's career started as a solicitor with Freshfields, where he worked from 1988 to 1993.

Mr Birch has a degree in Economics from the University of Manchester, following which he studied at Chancery Lane Law School in London. He qualified as a solicitor in 1990.

Neville Hall
Group Compliance and Regulation Director

Neville Hall joined Travelex in July 2007 as Group Compliance and Regulation Director. He has responsibility for directing Travelex’s group strategy and approach with regard to compliance, anti-money laundering and fulfilment of all regulatory requirements for the countries in which it operates.

Mr Hall joined Travelex from Renaissance Capital, where he was Global Head of Compliance, Managing Director. Prior to this, he was Head of Equities & Investment Banking Compliance, EMEA at UBS. He has also worked for regulators and governments, including the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, and The Securities Association (now the FSA).

Neville has a degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford.
