Using Your Cash Passport™

Cash Passport™ Prepaid MasterCard® from Travelex is a new way of managing your money while traveling. As smart as travelers checks, but more convenient, you can easily pre-load the Cash Passport with your travel budget for use in millions of ATMs, shops and restaurants worldwide.

Chip & PIN Based Transactions

All Cash Passports are enabled with chip and PIN functionality, making it easier to transact abroad, particularly in countries throughout Europe, where this payment method is most popular. When conducting a chip and PIN based transaction, you must insert the Cash Passport into the machine and the machine will prompt you to insert a PIN number before confirming payment. These transactions are very similar to debit card transactions in the United States. There will not be a receipt to sign, as your identity is verified using the PIN number.

Checking Your Balance

Simply go to www.cashpassport.com and click on My Account, register and you’ll be able to see your Cash Passport balance right away – you can also review recent transactions. You may also call Cash Passport Customer Services to use our automated balance service.

We recommend using our online or phone services for balance inquiries to ensure you receive the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Reload Your Card

This couldn’t be easier. Either reload your Cash Passport here or take your card and a valid photo ID to any participating branch of the partner bank or travel agent where your Card was originally purchased.

Finished With Your Card?

If you would prefer not to keep your card for another upcoming trip, you can withdraw your remaining balance (assuming it is within the ATMs issuing limits) from an ATM that accepts MasterCard. Alternatively, you can take your Card back to the location where it was originally purchased and have your balance withdrawn, less any applicable fees. (See your Terms and Conditions for further details). For Cards purchased online, please contact the Card Services team.

Lost or Stolen Cards

If your card is lost or stolen, contact Cash Passport Customer Services immediately so we can cancel the lost or stolen Card and provide you with a free replacement. Rest assured that your balance is PIN protected and you can still access those funds with either your replacement or secondary Card.

Card Expiration

Your Card will expire on the date indicated on the Cash Passport. If you have funds remaining on the Card after expiration, you may choose to transfer the funds to another Travelex Cash Passport Card.
