Compliance at Travelex
Travelex Currency Services Inc (“TCSI”) is a money services business (“MSB”) registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (“FinCEN”) and based in New York, New York. TCSI is an ultimate subsidiary of Travelex Holdings Limited (“Travelex”) in the United Kingdom.
TCSI is subject to comprehensive regulation by FinCEN and the various state regulators in whose jurisdictions we are regulated (see list of licenses on Licensing page).
Commitment to Compliance
TCSI’s Compliance Department is staffed with over ten experienced professionals with varied backgrounds ranging from government regulators, to Fraud Officers, to Correspondent Banking Compliance Officers.
TCSI has implemented a comprehensive anti-money laundering compliance program, including the appointment of a qualified Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer, regular AML training for staff, testing, monitoring, and policies and procedures that set appropriate standards for the operation of the AML compliance program across the institution. Globally, Travelex has strong controls in place which are adopted at the local level for the various corporate entities.
As part of its AML program, Travelex has established globally, automated monitoring tools to assist in the identification of suspicious activity and deviations from standard customer activity.
TCSI also operates an OFAC Compliance program that includes policies, procedures, training and electronic screening of customer transactions through U.S. government and other sanctioned party lists.

TCSI is subject to Travelex’s Global Ethical Conduct policies which ensure full compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) and the UK Bribery Act.
All colleagues and representatives are empowered and expected to raise any concerns that they may have regarding any possible illegal activities or misconduct that they encounter in their work environment.
